To all my fellow iOS users out there in Oppoland, has iOS 8 become available in your part of the world yet? I'm on an iPhone 5 on AT&T in New Hampshire, nothing yet.

Apparently, it'll be released at 10AM Pacific time or 1PM Eastern time. I'm just going to wait and use others as guinea pigs (I am evil) - I want to see what problems iOS8 has before allowing my own iPotato to succumb to this new regime.

Don't do it bro, apple is a firm believer in obsolescence via updates, if you are using a 5 then you are going to get the shaft with the update.

I don't think I will be staying with apple, I'll either grab a wp9 when they come out, or whatever flavour of android is out when I feel like dropping money for a new phone. Adding my wife to my line took my contract an made it 4 years instead of 3 years, which is already super long. Rogers is not my favourite company and I want to change carriers.

Not being released until 1pm Eastern Time and I strongly suggest waiting a day or two to update. I work in tech and I love it, that's also why I am not an early adopter (not when it comes to my wallet). I've seen too many issues across the board to know it's never a good idea to update as soon as it's available.
